Until Death Do Us Pod: A Financial Infidelity Podcast Released
A pre-book launch podcast is released
As Collateral Wife gets ready to make its debut in the book world, I’m pulling the trigger on more pre-launch activities.
This week, my guest appearance on the Until Death Do Us Pod podcast was released. Produced by the law firm Schiller DuCanto & Fleck and hosted by senior partner Jay Dahlin, the podcast dives into my experience with financial infidelity and some of the legal remedies available if you are duped by a loved one. If you have time, give it a listen and let me know your feedback.

Behind the scenes, there’s a lot of work to bring a promotion like this to life. If you are interested, here are some considerations.
First: Find media opportunities that align with my topics and target audiences.
As a family law firm catering to high-net-worth individuals, Schiller’s podcast allows me to tap into both business (legal and other professionals) and consumer (wealthy individuals navigating challenging issues including divorce) audiences.
Legal is one of my target audience sectors since the book addresses law-related situations (financial infidelity and abuse, divorce, criminal indictments, being a government witness and so forth). Other target sectors include financial professionals and the true-crime and memoir reading communities.
Second: Get the messaging right.
Since I teach media, messaging and presentation skills in my consulting business, I’m on the hot seat to practice what I preach. It’s very different when you switch from teacher to performer.
I’ve created a messaging document that focuses on my target audiences, key messages to share with each, and stories and examples to support my messaging. I update the document after each opportunity.
Third: Activate Book Launch Team.
My BLT is another set of eyes and ears. I relied on BLT members to review early drafts of manuscripts and provide feedback. With the podcast release, I activated the BLT to like, comment and share social media posts (they came through in spades, by the way). From now on, I’m going to ask for their help to continue to generate book buzz, read the book and post reviews, and help me implement the marketing plan.
I’m seeing firsthand that writing the book is just the beginning. The real challenge lies in everything that comes after it.

This great!!! Congratulations Anne!
